As donations continue to pour in for the CFL WOWs cancer Appeal, the students and staff of Nadroga Arya College have donated a sum of $532 for the Walk on Walk strong campaign.
Teacher and co-ordinator Pritika Mudliar said that the students and staff want to help people battling cancer as they have seen their own teacher's experience with cancer.
Thirty year old Mudliar who had contracted Human Papiloma Virus in 2008 said that she had already reached the third stage and the virus was just a stage away from developing into cancer.
Mudliar said that she had a operation last year and has a check-up done every six months now and has also started encouraging women to go for Pap smear tests.
