DISMAC has today confirmed that people are confused with the food rations that government is giving out to those who have been severely affected by Cyclone Tomas.
Acting Director DISMAC Pajiliai Dobui said that people have to understand that the food that is being supplied is to meet their current needs before they can return to their normal supply.
Dobui also clarified that in some areas only assessments have been carried out, and DISMAC will deliver the food rations next week, once the boats are available.
People have been asked to please be patient as distribution of food rations takes a lot of time due to the geographical locations of the areas that need to be covered.
