A resident Kalam said heavy rain started around 4 hours ago and that they are currently experiencing heavy rainfall, strong winds and lighting.
Navokai Resident, Naushad Ali currently staying at a double storey said the situation there is difficult at this point in time.
Lautoka
Police in lautoka confirms that some areas are still flooded due to the heavy rainfall and some residents are still making their way to the nearest evacuation centre.
Mrs lal a resident in Rasak road lautoka said that they are starting to experience strong wind in the area.
Praveen Krishna of Drasa Lautoka confirmed that the danger of the floods had gone because the flood waters levels.
He added that some of the residents are still without food at the moment while others are still at the evacuation centre.

Flood water has receded to two feet in Ba town.
Special Administrator Ba, Arun Prasad said flood water had started to rise in the afternoon.
He said they do not have water supply and that 25 police officers were on patrol to ensure that no vandalism or looting takes place in town.
In Ba they are now experiencing strong winds.
Prasad highlights some roads which are still closed.
Meanwhile, Commissioner Central confirmed that the latest water level at the Rewa river is 3.95 meters.
The critical level is 4.5 meters.
Three bridges in Naitasiri is closed to all traffic.
Vunidawa police confirmed that the Waima bridge in Vunidawa, Waila bridge at Natavea road, and Vatuwaqa bridge at Monasavu road are all under water.
Also the Naqali flats is under water and is close to traffic

Looking at the Navua river, the river level water level is dropping and confirmed at 1.64 meters in the last hour.
The critical level is 4 meters.
Cuvu, Nadroga
People are without power and water supply there.
A resident, Vimilesh said they are relying on rain water as they have been without water since Friday.
He said at least four houses are still underwater and most of the people are taking shelter at Cuvu college.
