The woman who allegedly assaulted a 20-year-old university student on a bus travelling from Laucala Beach to Suva last week, has been admitted to St Giles Hospital.
Police have confirmed that she will be interviewed once a doctor declares her fit for an interview.
In a video sent to fijivillage News by a relative of the student, the woman was seen pulling the younger woman's hair.
She then got out of her seat, appeared to have a verbal argument with other passengers, walked to the front of the bus, pushed another female high school student out of her seat, and then got off the bus.
The relative said her nose was bleeding, her face was scratched, and she hit the back of her head on the metal part of a bus seat during the incident.
He said it was an unprovoked attack and they do not know each other.
