The Environmental Tribunal has given the Department of Environment 14 days to respond to Next Generation Holdings (Fiji) Pte Limited's notice of motion application and will sit again on 8th October.
Counsel for TNG Feizal Haniff says they have filed their notice which has now been served to Attorney General's Office.
Department of Environment counsel Apete Bauleka has requested for 14 days to respond to the plaintiff saying that they have filed some documents but are not sure if they are the ones that Haniff wants.
Magistrate Charles Ratakele who presided over the Environment Tribunal told Bauleka to formally respond to the plaintiff and then go from there on which documents are still missing.
This is the matter where TNG has appealed the Department of Environment's decision to reject its proposal for a $1.4 billion waste-to-energy plant at Vuda Point.
