The Taveuni Rugby Union will now benefit from Merchant Finance Limited’s sponsorship as its Official Naming Rights Partner for its remaining five home games in the 2026 Skipper Cup competition.
The partnership reflects Merchant Finance’s commitment to supporting community development and grassroots sport while strengthening its presence in Taveuni, where the company has a branch.
Under the partnership, Merchant Finance will provide support to assist the union in hosting its remaining home fixtures and supporting player participation throughout the season.
Merchant Finance Limited Chief Executive Officer Veilawa Rereiwasaliwa says the sponsorship reflects the company’s commitment to supporting communities across the North.
Taveuni Rugby Union Vice President Iowane Gade says the sponsorship will make a significant contribution towards the successful completion of their 2026 campaign.
As the Naming Rights Partner, Merchant Finance will receive brand visibility across match-day activities, community engagement initiatives, promotional platforms and other agreed sponsorship benefits during the remaining home fixtures.
The partnership also aims to support community development, youth engagement and the growth of rugby in Taveuni, while creating opportunities for Merchant Finance to connect with the wider community.

Meanwhile, Taveuni faces Naitasiri at Ratu Cakobau Park tomorrow.
In other matches, Tailevu will take on Rewa at Nakelo District School Ground, Nadi faces Navosa at King Charles Park, and Suva meet Kadavu in Nasese, Suva.
In Lautoka, the home side will meet Malolo, while Nadroga takes on Ba at Lawaqa Park.
All games is set to start at 3pm tomorrow.
