Rooster Chicken Ba Women FC's hopes of reaching the semi-finals of the OFC Women's Champions League came to an end after a thrilling 4-3 defeat to Vanuatu's Tafea FC in Solomon Islands.

After going behind early, Ba equalised in the 24th minute through Elesi Tabunase, who finished calmly after a long ball split the defence.

Tafea regained the lead before substitute Narieta Leba came off the bench to score the equaliser.

Ba then took a 3-2 lead into the break when Koleta Likuculacula scored in first-half stoppage time.

Tafea scored two goals in the second half to make it 4-3, and although Ba pushed hard for another goal in the closing stages, they could not find the breakthrough as Tafea held on to secure a place in the semi-finals.

Despite the defeat, Ba Women FC produced one of their best performances of the tournament, pushing the Vanuatu champions all the way before bowing out of the competition.
