After an impressive quarter final performance in the Vodafone Super Deans, Ra High School’s Under-18 side has booked its place in the semi finals, where they will face Southern Zone giants Suva Grammar School.
Grammar have arguably been one of the most composed teams in the tournament, with many rugby pundits tipping them and Lelean Memorial School as the leading contenders to battle it out for this year’s Deans U18 title.
But Ra High School have shown that they are not to be taken lightly at this crucial stage of the competition.
They sent shockwaves through the tournament last Saturday by knocking out defending Deans champions Ratu Kadavulevu School.
In the other semi-final, Nasinu Secondary School will lock horns with the formidable Lelean Memorial School of Davuilevu.
Nasinu will be determined to end Lelean’s winning run and book a place in the Deans U18 final.
Lelean enter the semi finals as favourites for this year’s Deans trophy and will be hoping to bring the coveted title back to Davuilevu after a 12-year wait.

The Davuilevu powerhouse have won the Deans trophy 14 times and shared the title five times.
The current side will be eager to restore the school’s lost glory and add another chapter to Lelean’s proud rugby history.
The semi- finals are schduled for this Saturday and times for the games will be confirmed this week.
