Tokalau of RSMS breaks 15-year-old javelin record at Suva Zone 1
Seru Tokalau of Ratu Sukuna Memorial School broke a 15 year old javelin record in the Intermediate Boys at the Coca-Cola Suva Zone 1 with a throw of 50.57 metres.

The old record of 48.08 metres was set by Alipate Karalo of Namosi Secondary School in 2011.

His first attempt was 50.30 metres.

Meanwhile, teammate Samisoni Salababa claimed silver with a throw of 47.60 metres and Filise Tavo of Nasinu Secondary School secured bronze.

Looking at the results of the 1,500 metres race this morning, Tavite Batidegei of Sacred Heart College won the Senior Boys, MGM's Gladness Simpson won the Senior Girls, George Filipo of CMF College won the Intermediate Boys, Anna Diomedi of International School Suva won the Intermediate Girls, Ropate Rokoua of William Cross High School won gold in the Sub-Junior Boys.
