As Nadroga attempts to win their first BiC Fiji FACT title after 25 years, team President Praveen “Pannu” Padiyachi says giving every local talent a chance is their main motive this season.
Rather than relying heavily on outside signings, Padiyachi placed his faith in local players developed within the province, a philosophy that has gradually restored identity and pride within Nadroga football.
That belief was rewarded when the young Stallions delivered under pressure and earned their place among Fiji’s top eight districts heading to Labasa.
This year’s Fiji FACT will also mark a special milestone for Padiyachi, as it will be his first Fiji FACT tournament as president of the Nadroga Football Association.
Padiyachi has also acknowledged the support of sponsors MMM Brothers and Coastal Rental Cars, whose backing has helped the team continue its preparations and development throughout the season.
Nadroga last lifted the Fiji FACT title in 1993 after defeating Tavua 2–0 in Nadi before winning again in 2001 with a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Labasa on home soil.
The official pool draw for the tournament will be conducted this Saturday.
The 2026 BiC Fiji FACT pool matches will be held from 19th to 21st June at Subrail Park in Labasa, while the semi-finals and final will be played the following weekend.
