The Fiji Rakavi Football Union (FRU) will announce the new head coach of the FIJI Water Flying Fijians tomorrow, with the team facing a tight schedule ahead of their upcoming international fixtures.
According to the advertised terms for the position, the successful candidate’s contract runs from the 5th of this month, until 31st December 2027.
The announcement comes as the Flying Fijians prepare to face Japan on the 24th of this month before beginning their Nations Championship campaign in November.
Questions remain over when preparations under the new head coach will begin, given the limited time before the Japan Test.
The Union had earlier confirmed that it received 31 applications for the position.
Meanwhile, Shaun Edwards is no longer in contention after signing with Argentina.
Edwards is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading defence coaches.
