The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua has confirmed that the kickoff for their game against the Highlanders next Saturday has been moved forward by 30 minutes.
Fijian Drua CEO Jeff Miller has welcomed the competition’s decision to change the match time, with the game now set to kick off at 4pm.
Miller says they approached Super Rugby Pacific with a request to bring the game forward by at least half an hour.
He says for those who were in Lautoka for the Western Force game, they would have noticed how dark it got at about 5.30pm to 6.30pm.
The Drua CEO says that is why they requested Super Rugby Pacific to bring the match forward by half an hour, so the full game can be played in daylight.
Meanwhile, this week, the Drua play the Chiefs at 4.30pm Sunday in Christchurch.
In other games, the Crusaders will face the Waratahs at 7.35pm Friday, the Hurricanes will meet the Brumbies at 5.05pm Saturday, the Blues play the Reds at 7.35pm, while the Highlanders will face Moana Pasifika at 2pm Sunday.
