We want to make the job harder for the Blues - Byrne

The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua are looking to spoil the party for the Blues this weekend when they meet in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific quarter final in Auckland.

Coach Mick Byrne says the team knows they are playing against a really good Blues side who have been season favourites this year.

Byrne says the Blues will be disappointed that they did not manage to get the bonus point win against the Chiefs last week to finish on top of the table and the Drua are looking to make the job even harder for the home side this weekend.

He says they are playing with the strategy that they use every weekend and that is to try and start well without much changes to their game plan.

Byrne says they will be looking to improve on their game awareness this weekend, an area that they lacked against the Blues when they met in round 1 of the competition this season.

He says they just need to be aware of some situations like not having possession for a period of time during the game as they cannot win games without ball-in-hand.

The Drua will take on the Blues at 7.05pm on Saturday at Eden Park in Auckland. In other quarter finals this weekend, the Chiefs will play the Reds at 7.05pm Friday, the Hurricanes will host the Rebels at 4.35pm Saturday and the Brumbies will play the Highlanders at 9.35pm Saturday.
