It was a memorable game for Fiji‑born wing Waqa Blake as he scored a superb try to help the Penrith Panthers beat the Canterbury Bulldogs 28‑12 last night and book a semi‑final against the Canberra Raiders.
Blake scored the Panther’s second try of the game in the 43rd minute.
The Bulldogs led 6‑4 at the break.
Led by skipper Matt Moylan, Penrith were able to reverse an early 6‑0 deficit to score 28 straight points.
The Bulldogs' defeat sees the end of veteran winger Sam Perrett's career.
Looking at the draws for week 2 of the NRL finals series, the Cowboys will meet the Broncos at 9.55pm Friday while the Raiders will meet the Panthers at 9.45pm Saturday.
Melbourne Storm and the Cronulla Sharks have both booked home semifinals.
