The Wallabies are vowing to hit back in Saturday's second Bledisloe Cup test in Wellington.
After being thumped 42‑8 in Sydney, Australia's defence coach Nathan Grey says they are embarrassed but their shortcomings can be addressed.
Grey says their pride has been damaged but there are six days to turn things around.
He says they missed 40 tackles in their loss to the All Blacks.
However All Blacks flanker Sam Cane says they would be foolish to expect a repeat Australian performance in Wellington on Saturday.
Cane says the Wallabies will be out to prove a point to themselves and to the media this weekend.
The Wallabies will meet the All Blacks at 7.35pm Saturday at Westpac Stadium in Wellington.
