Despite facing difficulties in finding a permanent Super Rugby home, Vodafone Flying Fijians flyhalf Ben Volavola has always put his best foot forward for Fiji.
Volavola has produced some superb highlights for the Flying Fijians when he secures some decent ball from nippy half back Nikola Matawalu.
He is good enough to create space for Vereniki Goneva and Timoci Nagusa on the wing or even unleash Jale Vatubua on the midfield with some set moves.
Volavola has spent this year in and out of the Melbourne Rebels run‑on side, but he has enjoyed a little more game time in recent weeks and no doubt he will be buoyed by the opportunity to re‑join his Test teammates with whom he enjoyed an excellent World Cup as Fiji pushed England, Wales and Australia in three tight pool games.
He will line up against Bernard Foley who has been among the Waratahs’ best in recent weeks.
Foley spoke earlier this year of the benefits of his stint at No. 12 during the 2016 Rugby Championship, and the directness of his play has been evident.
He will also be glad to have Will Genia’s assured service hitting the mitts from the inside.
The Wallabies will host the Flying Fijians at 5pm tomorrow.
