The Gold Coast Titans have released an updated statement addressing the video involving players Jarryd Hayne and Nene Macdonald.
The statement denies any wrongdoing by the players while also denying that the players had any previous affiliation with alleged criminal Chris Bloomfield who is a former Titan under‑20s player.
In a statement on his official Facebook page, Jarryd Hayne has denied any previous affiliation with Chris Bloomfield.
Hayne says he met Chris Bloomfield for the first time over the weekend.
The former Fiji 7s player has also made it very clear that a comment in the video which suggested he supplied Chris with a large sum of money is not true.
Hayne says the money did not belong to him and he was not involved with any of the offensive comments subsequently added to the video.
