Rewa FC defender Delon Shankar and Labasa FC midfielder Melvin Mani will not be taking part in the FMF Inter District Championship as they have been suspended.
Speaking to fijivillage News Fiji Football Association Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Yusuf says Mani was suspended after he failed to return to camp following the BOG tournament and did not report for national team duties.
Yusuf says Shankar was released from the national team camp to undergo rehabilitation but instead travelled to New Zealand.
He says Shankar is currently in New Zealand and has not been allowed to play.
Yusuf says both players remain suspended indefinitely until the Fiji FA Board makes a decision.
He says the timing of the Board meeting will depend on when the Board can meet, with the IDC currently underway, and says the matter will be discussed by the Board upon an appeal.
