Hurricanes utility back Billy Proctor has revealed that they have a big challenge at hand this week knowing the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua team feed off the heat and the crowd support.

Proctor says with the heat in Fiji, it is easy to lose energy so they are looking to translate all their training that they have been doing on their facilities and also some uncomfortable training into the game this Friday to encounter the Fiji heat.

He says their win over the Chiefs last week wasn’t without its hair-raising moments for their fans, specifically in the third quarter of the contest when the Chiefs started to build a lead.

He adds they had to fight through a bit of adversity and they showed a bit of character coming back from a poor start to the second half.

Proctor says they know that if they do that against the Drua, it’s going to be a very long, tough day for them.

The Hurricanes will be looking to secure their first win over the Drua in Suva after they lost 27-24 last year in the same venue.

The Drua on the other hand will be looking to end the Hurricanes’ undefeated run so far this season.

The Drua will face the Hurricanes at 7.05pm this Friday at the HFC Bank Stadium.

Meanwhile, the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women will play the Western Force at 4.35pm this Friday in the first semi final of the Super Rugby Women's competition at the same venue.
