Swire Shipping Fijian Drua backrower Joseva Tamani has signed with Otago for the upcoming 2025 NPC competition that will kick off at the end of this month.

Tamani, who missed selection for the Fiji Water Flying Fijians that recently played against the Wallabies and Scotland, is one of the 3 players with links to Fiji that has been named in the 32-member Otago squad that was finalised today.

The Vagadaci, Ovalau man will be joined alongside fellow countrymen, George Bower and Jona Nareki in the Blue and Gold colours this season.

Tamani will hope to make the cut for the Flying Fijians squad for the upcoming Pacific Nations Cup which will kick off next month.

Meanwhile, coach Mark Brown has named a strong squad this season which includes some All Blacks players in the likes of Bower, Fabian Holland and Christian Lio-Willie.

Otago will take on Southland in their first match at 4.35pm on the 2nd of August in Invercargill.
