Suva wants to maintain winning culture in the Skipper Cup Competition

The Suva Rugby Union want to maintain their winning culture and they are working hard to repeat the feat they achieved last year where they won all their Skipper Cup matches.

This was highlighted by Suva Rugby coach Solomone Nute as they prepare for the second round of the competition this weekend.

Nute says they achieved a positive outcome last year and they want to keep that going.

He says after their win over Ba last Saturday, they have gone back to the drawing board and have identified areas that they needed to improve on.

The Capital city side will be travelling down to the West to take on Lautoka this weekend.

Nute says Lautoka will not be an easy side as well, knowing that they are being coached by one of the greats of the game, Ifereimi Rawaqa, and they will not want to let their guard down.

He says they have a good depth in their squad, especially with the inclusion of a few development players from their under-20s squad.

Suva will take on Lautoka at 3pm Saturday at Churchill Park.

In other Skipper Cup matches this weekend, Ba will play Yasawa, Macuata will take on Nadi, Naitasiri will play Tailevu and Nadroga will host Namosi.
