Standards must be met, the rugby will take care of itself- Byrne
FIJI Water Flying Fijians Head Coach, Mick Byrne

FIJI Water Flying Fijians Head Coach, Mick Byrne says getting into camp and preparing for any major tournament is a process built on discipline, learning, and high standards—both for the team and himself.

Speaking to fijivillage Sports as the squad gears up for their Northern Tour next month, Byrne says the first priority is always to revisit the standards expected at national level and set them as benchmarks for the campaign ahead.

Byrne says when they get together, it’s about realigning themselves with those standards and the rugby takes care of itself and that’s the beauty of Fijian rugby.

He says that personal and professional development remains a focus, and as the players grow off the field, their game will also rise to meet expectations.

The FIJI Water Flying Fijians will face England on 9th November at Allianz Stadium in London at 5.40am.
