Salesi Rayasi who has links to Fiji has extended his contract with the Hurricanes till the 2021 Super Rugby season.
The 22‑year‑old former New Zealand Sevens representative was selected for the 2019 Hurricanes squad off the back of a breakout year with Auckland as he helped the side win the national Premiership title.
Hurricanes coach John Plumtree says Salesi has shown them already through the pre‑season that he has the hunger and desire to succeed at this level.
The 2019 Super Rugby Season will begin on the 15th of next month.
