Natabua High School’s Julian Vuetibau is aiming to break records at the Coca-Cola Games next week.
The 19-year-old broke Batinisavu Uluiyata's 400 metres Senior Boys record with a time of 49.75 seconds at the Lautoka Zone.
Uluiyata's record was 50.50 seconds set in 2015.
Vuetibau says he will help Natabua take back the Coca-Cola Games Boys title to the Western division next week.
Vuetibau will also run in the Senior Boys 4x400 metres.
The Coca Cola Games will be held from next Thursday to Saturday at the ANZ Stadium.
