Fiji‑born All Blacks wing Waisake Naholo has urged the Lions to add the Pacific Islands to their future tour schedules.
The Lions only visit New Zealand, South Africa and Australia but are considering adding fixtures against other nations from 2021 onwards.
Naholo will face the Lions with the Highlanders tonight before joining up with the All Blacks.
Naholo adds that he saw an old clip of the test match between the Flying Fijians and the British and Irish Lions on social media and it was before he was born.
The Lions will not feature their team that beat the Crusaders last week and have made a complete change with a new line-up against the Highlanders tonight.
Some of the key players include Jonathan Joseph, Robbie Henshaw, Tommy Seymour, Dan Biggar, Rhys Webb, Sam Warburton, James Haskell, Joe Marler, Alun Wyn Jones and Owen Farrell.
The Highlanders will host the Lions at 7.35 tonight.
