Nacanieli Cawanibuka has been appointed as the new General Manager for the High-Performance Unit in the Fiji Rugby Union.
Cawanibuka says he feels blessed to have served in the rugby fraternity for many years, with the vision and goal of helping Fiji achieve excellence in the sport.
He says rugby is now a professional field, and it demands a great deal of planning, the right people, strong systems, supportive environments, and positive cultures to develop world-class players.
Fiji Rugby Acting CEO, Koli Sewabu says Cawanibuka has a proven track record at the highest levels of the game, combined with a deep understanding of Fijian rugby culture.
Sewabu says Cawanibuka will also lead the High-Performance Department into its next phase of development.
Cawanibuka will officially begin his new role on the 9th of next month.
