The Hurricanes full back Nehe Milner‑Skudder says he's just happy to be back on the field and he's not thinking too far ahead.
Milner‑Skudder got 20 minutes off the bench in the Hurricanes 34‑12 win over the Western Force on Saturday night, his first outing since breaking a bone in his foot in round 3 in March.
The All Blacks squad for the Lions series is named on Thursday and while he'd probably be an outsider for that, Steve Hansen may consider him with Ben Smith in some doubt after leaving the field at the weekend.
While he may not be considered for the All Blacks, Milner‑Skudder has an opportunity to turn out for the Maori All Blacks and the Hurricanes against the Lions.
He says the All Blacks have been keeping in touch with him while he's been recuperating.
There is only one game this weekend with the Hurricanes taking on the Chiefs at 7.35pm this Friday.
