Vodafone Flying Fijians Coach John McKee says they always wanted to be in Pool D in the 2019 Rugby World Cup as he believes Fiji can qualify for the quarter-finals if they do well.
Pool D will have Australia, Wales, Georgia and probably Canada.
Fiji has qualified as the top Oceania team for the next World Cup after defeating Tonga 14-10 yesterday.
Speaking to Fijivillage from Tonga, McKee says it’s a long road to the 2019 Rugby World Cup and they are now concentrating on the game against Samoa.
The Flying Fijians will return Fiji tomorrow before catching the flight to Samoa.
Fiji will take on Samoa at 6.30pm this Saturday.
