The Fijian Drua have announced a three-year partnership deal with McDonald's Fiji which will see Fiji’s leading restaurant chain feature prominently on the main playing jersey of the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women’s team, as well as on digital and social platforms of the Club.

Both organisations have also announced Ronald McDonald House Charities Fiji as the Official Charity of the Fijian Drua.

While welcoming McDonald's Fiji to their sponsorship vuvale and hailing their support of the Drua women, Drua CEO Mark Evans says that having the support of one of Fiji’s leading organisations and one of the world’s most recognisable brands is outstanding for the Drua.

Evans says McDonald's Fiji has been a great supporter of sports in Fiji alongside their extensive community engagement.

He says they are also proud to announce that together, the Fijian Drua will be an active partner to Ronald McDonald House Charities Fiji.

He adds this charity positively contributes towards children and families who need hospital care and support and the club will proudly lend their voice and support to this wonderful initiative.

Evans says they are grateful for McDonald's Fiji’s decision to join their vuvale and become a big partner of the Drua women.

He says McDonald’s support will ensure the continued growth of the women’s game, making it possible for more girls to choose rugby as a viable career path.

He further says today’s announcement comes at an opportune time as the Drua Women will feature in Super Rugby Women which kicks off next week.

McDonald's Fiji Managing Director Marc McElrath says this is a fantastic opportunity for McDonald's Fiji and Ronald McDonald House Charities.

McElrath says they look forward to supporting and working with the Fijian Drua over the next few years and look forward to some exciting rugby.

The Fijian Drua Women’s team will start their 2024 Super W campaign against the Queensland Reds at 12pm in Ballymore, Brisbane next Sunday.
