Manchester City want to sign Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez before Friday’s transfer deadline.
Sanchez scored 24 English Premier League goals for Arsenal last season but is out of contract next summer and is yet to agree to a new contract.
Arsenal had earlier said that Sanchez would honour his contract and stay at the club.
