Vodafone Fiji 7s speedster Joeli Lutumailagi is in doubt for this weekend’s Vancouver 7s.
Lutumailagi suffered a knock on his knee during their final against South Africa in Las Vegas and coach Gareth Baber is hoping the Nadroga flyer will recover within the next 24 hours.
Speaking to Fijivillage from Vancouver, Baber says they are settling in well.
Meanwhile Sevuloni Mocenacagi has been suspended from the next three games while Vatemo Ravouvou has been suspended for one game.
Mocenacagi was sent off in the final of Las Vegas 7s for tackling South Africa’s Werner Kok in the air while Ravouvou received a one game suspension for repeated foul play.
Baber is expected to name his final 12 at the end of this week.
Fiji will take on Wales at 6.36am Sunday, their second game is against Samoa at 10.12am Sunday before meeting Argentina at 1.52pm Sunday in our last pool match.
The Medal quarter finals will start at 6.08am next Monday, the semis start at 10.08am Monday while the final will kick off at 1.19pm Monday.
Barring any upsets, Fiji is likely to meet USA, Australia or France in the quarter finals, we will meet either New Zealand or England in semifinals and South Africa in the final.
