Lautoka soccer team on track to win the VPL

The Lautoka soccer team is on track to win the Vodafone Premier League after a lapse of eight years as the side has opened up a four point gap at the top of the points table.

The Blues sit on top with 19 points while Suva is second with 15 points.

Lautoka won six matches and drew one in the first round and will take on Nadi at 3pm this Sunday at Prince Charles Park.

Consistency will be the key for the Blues and a win against Nadi will put them in a perfect situation as they will only have five matches remaining.

Meanwhile, Suva has a chance to close the gap over Lautoka if they can beat Rewa at 7pm this Wednesday at Ratu Cakobau Park.

In other matches this week, Nadi will play Rakiraki on Wednesday at Prince Charles Park while Ba will host Rakiraki on Sunday.
