Kolinisau reminds players that they are their own rivals on game day

Team Fiji Men’s rugby 7s side have been reminded that their biggest rival on game day is themselves and they need to overcome that.

While speaking from the Games Village in Paris, coach Osea Kolinisau says it is all about getting their mindsets right on game day.

Kolinisau says once the players get their mentality right, people will be catching shadows in the field of play and that is something that they are focusing on and it is also making sure they switch on at the right moment.

He says he has seen the players getting things right during training but there are still some little issues that they are addressing and are working on before the games start tomorrow.

Fiji will face Uruguay at 3am tomorrow in their first match, they will then take on the USA at 6.30am, before playing hosts France at 1.30am Friday in their final pool match. The Men’s quarter finals will kick off at 7am Friday.

There will be a break on Saturday for the official opening of the Paris Olympics 2024 before the competition resumes on Sunday.

The semi finals will kick off at 1.30am Sunday, and the final will be at 5.45am Sunday.
