Hurricanes flyhalf Brett Cameron is anticipating a great battle against Chiefs’ flyhalf Damien McKenzie when the two teams clash in the second semi final of the 2024 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific this weekend.

Cameron says he does not focus too much on personnel, but it is always good to have a little battle when he can test himself against great players.

The 27-year-old has 1 international cap under his belt for the All Blacks and it was against Japan in 2018.

He made a statement in their earlier clash with the Chiefs in round 14 of the competition where he slotted the winning penalty to give them a 20-17.

Cameron says it is satisfying to nail a moment like that but it can go either way and you always have to be ready for those moments.

He says the Chiefs pose a lot of threats and are a very physical team and his team expects much of the same this weekend.

The Hurricanes will host the Chiefs at 4.35pm this Saturday in the second semi final.

In the first semi final, the Blues will take on the Brumbies at 7.05pm Friday at Eden Park in Auckland.
