It is highly likely that top striker Setareki Hughes will not leave Suva to join the Rewa soccer team in the player transfer window which opens tomorrow.
Fijivillage has been reliably informed that Hughes will stay on with Suva.
Hughes would definitely have added depth in Rewa’s strike force however Rewa will have to go to the OFC Champions League without him.
We have also received information that Rewa is waiting for the International Transfer Clearance of two more experienced players from New Zealand and Solomon Islands.
Meanwhile, Rewa has also acquired the services of three Brazilians.
Diego Maximo who is from Sao Paulo had previously played for Vanuatu’s Amicale FC and will be joined in the Rewa side by compatriots, Elias Silva and Marcelo Tannus.
Rewa will play its first OFC Champions League match against Marist FC on the 11th of March, they play their second game against AS Tefana on the 14th of March while the Delta Tigers will play their last game against Erakor Gold Star on the 17th of March.
Rewa will play all its matches in Tahiti.
