Jarryd Hayne, having just embarked on an unlikely State of Origin comeback of his own, has plenty of respect for the one long‑time rival Billy Slater who will be making his comeback into the game.
A fortnight ago, before Queensland selectors had officially reactivated Slater's Origin career, the Storm fullback posted a video about how much an Origin return would mean to him.
Hayne shared it on his Facebook page with the following words: "Respect. See you in game 2 champion."
Meanwhile, Hayne will start at fullback for the Titans when they face the Rabbitohs at 9.50pm tomorrow.
