Jarryd Hayne has extended his contract with the Gold Coast Titans to the 2018 NRL season.
Originally signing a two‑year contract with the Titans, the deal included an option for the second year in Hayne’s favour to be exercised by May 31.
Hayne delayed the announcement of his decision until after Wednesday's State of Origin so it did not draw away the focus on the first game of the series.
Hayne has played 12 matches for the Titans since arriving late last season, bringing his total NRL appearances to 188 games, including 21 Origin games for New South Wales and 12 for Australia, scoring more than 500 career points.
Coach Neil Henry is pleased that Hayne has elected to remain with the club in 2018.
The Titans will take on the Cowboys at 9pm tomorrow, while the Storm play the Knights at 8pm tonight.
