Fijian international Vereniki Goneva will make his first Aviva Premiership start for Newcastle Falcons when they kick off the new season against Sale Sharks tomorrow.
Goneva was short-listed for European Player of the Year last season, scoring 44 tries in 92 appearances during his four seasons with the Leicester Tigers.
He joined the Falcons this season.
Newcastle Falcons will face the Sale Sharks at 7am tomorrow.
