Former Samoa 7s coach Damian McGrath has sued the Samoa Rugby Union after the way he was sacked following the Rio Olympics.
The legal action is seeking more than $US400,000 ($FJD 833,860) in damages to be paid by the Samoa Rugby Union because of the termination of McGrath's contract.
The Samoa Rugby Union and its CEO are defendants in the lawsuit.
The civil case will be heard for mention on the 19th of December.
The CEO has said he is one of the two defendants named in the civil action because of what he told the media about the Board's decision to terminate McGrath's contract.
McGrath was sacked in September after Samoa failed to qualify for the Rio Olympics and has since been appointed coach of Canada's men's 7s team.
Meanwhile, the Dubai 7s will be held from next Friday to Saturday.
