Flying Fijians regroup after poor showing against Wallabies

The Vodafone Flying Fijians are on a mission to regroup after going down 37‑14 against Australia in Melbourne, in the first of five test matches over the next month that will culminate in World Cup qualifiers against Samoa and Tonga in July.

It took Fiji more than an hour to get on the scoreboard after the Wallabies were quickest out of the blocks and led 18‑0 at halftime, but once the Fijians got going, they gave as good as they got, scoring two tries.

Coach John McKee believes they could have done better but poor decision making let them down.

This week, more firepower and pace will be injected into the team with the inclusion of Josua Tuisova and Levani Botia in the backs and Peceli Yato in the forwards.

The Flying Fijians will host Italy at 2.30pm Saturday at the ANZ Stadium and you can catch the live commentary on our sister station Viti FM on 92.2FM.
