Fitness remains a factor for the Digicel Fiji Bula Boys and it is one area they are working on as they gear up for their clash against Samoa in round 2 of the 2024 OFC Men’s Nations Cup tomorrow.

This was highlighted by coach Rob Sherman after the team’s emphatic 5-1 win over PNG in round 1 of the competition over the weekend.

Sherman says he is proud of how the boys performed over the weekend, especially with the execution of the game plans, but he needs them to play to the tempo that he wants as a coach.

He says the boys’ fitness should be meeting the international football demands so they need to be fitter than they are.

Fiji currently leads Pool B with 3 points after that win followed by Tahiti with 3 points as well while Samoa and PNG sit in 3rd and 4th place respectively. Fiji will take on Samoa at 7pm tomorrow at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
