Roosters and Fiji Bati prop Kane Evans says Fiji have got the makings of a serious side ahead of the Rugby League World Cup later this year.
With Jarryd Hayne sizing up a return to the Bati and the likes of Suliasi Vunivalu, John Sutton, Reagan Campbell‑Gillard and the Sims brothers all potential starters, Evans believes Fiji are considered a good chance of matching their 2013 semi‑final appearance.
Evans says his focus is to make the starting side for the Roosters on the rest of the season.
The 25-year-old will feature for the Roosters when they take on Cowboys at 9.30pm Saturday.
