The SportsWorld Fiji U20s will be banking on their skills and development which manager, Nemani Tuifagalele, says are two of the particular areas that they are quite good at, as they look forward to their first match of the Oceania Rugby U20s Championship against Tonga this Wednesday.

Tuifagalele says this was one of their strengths when they participated in the Super Rugby Pacific U20s competition earlier this year.

He says, however, there's a lot of physicality in rugby and he thinks Fiji Rugby needs to build more, bigger players to be able to play competitive rugby.

He adds that the Vodafone Super Deans competition is a platform that sets the pathway for rugby in Fiji.

Tuifagalele says we haven't had any players that are six feet eight or six feet nine, as we only have six foot four or six foot five players.

He says he thinks the smallest U20 player in the NZ and Australia U20s team is probably the size of the Fiji U20s biggest prop.

Tuifagalele says the outstanding thing about the Fijian players is their guts and confidence in matching the bigger players in NZ and Australia.

He says otherwise, he would love to see a lot of bigger players being developed or being recruited for this kind of competition.

The Fiji U20 will take on Tonga this Wednesday in their first match, they will then take on Canada on the 6th of June, and then play Samoa on the 7th of June in their final match.
