The Fiji Football Association has withdrawn its bid to host the group matches of Lautoka in the OFC Champions League in March next year.

Fiji FA’s CEO Mohammed Yusuf says there are issues with the floodlights at Churchill Park and the Lautoka soccer team is highly likely to play it’s group matches in Auckland.

Ba has also qualified for the OFC Champions League and will have to play its matches abroad.

The OFC Champions League will be played from late February till May next year.

Lautoka is in Group C with Auckland City from New Zealand, Madang FC from Papua New Guinea and AS Venus from Tahiti.

Ba is in Group A with Papua New Guinea's Lae City Dwellers, Nalkutan FC of Vanuatu and another team which is yet to be confirmed.
