The Fiji 7s extended team will go into camp on the 25th of this month to prepare for the upcoming Oceania and Dubai 7s.
Team manager Ropate Kauvesi says they were supposed to go into camp last week but most of the players are with their various teams preparing for the Central Coast 7s in Australia and they have allowed that as they will also get a bit of game time.
Kauvesi says that trainer Nacanieli Cawanibuka has prepared specific training programmes and has given it to the three High Performance Units in Suva, Sigatoka and Nadi to monitor the players’ fitness.
Kauvesi adds that they will pick the team for the Oceania 7s a week before the tournament which will be held from the 11th to the 12th of November at the ANZ Stadium.
The Dubai 7s will be held from Friday December 2nd and Fiji is the defending champion.
