The Fiji National Rugby League has confirmed that most of the players that were part of the Fiji Bati team in the 2013 Rugby League World Cup have confirmed their availability for this year’s campaign.
This was confirmed to Fijivillage by the Chairman of the Fiji National Rugby League Filimoni Vosarogo.
Vosarogo says Jarryd Hayne, Tariq Sims and Ashton Sims have also confirmed their availability for the team.
He says this is a good indication for them as younger players who emerged within the last five years have also been considered for selection.
Vosarogo says the total budget for their 2017 World Cup would be $1.2 million.
The Fiji Bati reached the semi finals in the last two Rugby League World Cups.
