Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic have met more than any other two men in the Tennis Open era ‑ and the pair are ready to finally resume their long‑standing rivalry on the Grand Slam stage.

The pair have only met twice at Wimbledon, Nadal winning their 2007 semi‑final when Djokovic retired hurt, the Serb gaining revenge in the 2011 final.

The pair have produced some of the greatest matches ever seen ‑ which include memorable Grand Slam finals and career‑defining victories.

They have met in 7 Grand Slam finals, 4 Grand Slam semi‑finals and 1 Olympic semi‑final with Djokovic leading 26‑25 in their head‑to‑head.

32-year-old Nadal and 31-year-old Djokovic will meet in a highly anticipated Wimbledon semi‑final at 3.30am tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Serena Williams will face Germany's Angelique Kerber for an eighth Wimbledon singles title after both won their semi‑finals in straight sets.

Sunday's final will be a re‑match of the 2016 showpiece between the two, which Williams won.

Williams will be seeking a record‑equalling 24th Grand Slam title and her first since giving birth in September.
