USA Falcons head coach and former USA Rugby 7s Olympian, Ben Pinkelman says the McDonald’s Fiji’s Coral Coast 7’s tournament will be an energetic, competitive environment that will demand adaptability and resiliency that compares to the World Rugby Sevens Series from their squad.

He says the speed of the game will be a step up from what many of the players have ever played against and they will undoubtedly grow from it.

Pinkelman says at the same time, they will learn even more by experiencing the Fijian culture, people, and lifestyle.

He further says this experience will help them understand how much every person on the island cares about their rugby and seeing the fanatical culture that has inspired two gold medals will give them a taste of the passion they have to bring to training everyday.

Pinkelman says four of the members of the travelling squad have had a first taste of top rugby, with Noah Brown, Will Chevalier, Sam Walsh and Nolan Tuamoheloa all making their HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series debut in October 2022 during Hong Kong Sevens.

The USA Falcons are pooled with Nukuvura, Army and Fire.

The Coral Coast 7s will begin tomorrow at Lawaqa Park with free admission fee.
