The Chiefs have locked down Dominic Bird and Michael Allardice to new deals.
Bird has said that there was interest from elsewhere, but he's opted to stick with the Chiefs through to 2018 after joining for the 2016 season.
His Super Rugby debut came with the Crusaders in 2013, before he won the first of his two All Blacks caps against Japan in Tokyo in the same year.
Fellow Chiefs lock Allardice has missed the start of 2017 with a knee injury, but has done enough to earn a new two‑year deal through to 2019.
The Chiefs will take on take on the Bulls at 6.35pm Saturday.
