Charlie Ngatai has recovered from his second bout of concussion symptoms and is back in the Chiefs' lineup for their match against the Hurricanes in Wellington on Friday night.

Ngatai was not at training yesterday due to sickness, however has been named at second five‑eighth for the game at Westpac Stadium, replacing Stephen Donald, who has been sidelined.

It's one of three changes to the starting 15 which beat the Waratahs.

The other backline tweak sees Solomon Alai-malo promoted from the bench to the right wing in place of Toni Pulu, who injured his hamstring at the weekend.

The one change to the forward pack sees Michael Allardice move from the reserves to start in place of All Blacks lock Brodie Retallick.

The Chiefs will face the Hurricanes at 7.35pm this Friday.
